Black Jack – My favorite Card Game

Every time I step In the casino I usually head for the black jack table. I could say that I formed an addiction to Vingt-et-un (French) or otherwise known as 21. What makes this game addicting is that while it looks like a simple game to play, there is a science behind the game. The object is simple, if you have the highest hand in the table that does not exceed 21, you win. However, a hand with a value higher than 21 is a bust, meaning you’ve lost the round.

A player’s objective is to defeat the dealer and this can be done by having a high and unbusted hand. There is a slight twist in the rules which favors the dealer, if the dealers hand is a bust like the players hand; the player still looses the round. There are times when a “push” happens, in this instance the player and dealer have the same hand value therefore a draw happens. No one wins the round. Every player on the black jack table has a separate game against the dealer, therefore there are times when a dealer will lose to some players and might win against others. What makes this game my favorite is the fact that the game is hard to predict, every single moment may be a bust or win for you.
